Opel

Opel is one of Europe's leading car manufacturers. The company was founded in 1862 by Adam Opel in Rüsselsheim, Germany. The company began building automobiles in 1899.

Opel is the only german brand within Stellantis that was formed in 2021. Together with its British sister brand Vauxhall, the company has a presence in more than 60 countries around the world, and sold nearly 1 million vehicles in 2019.

Opel is currently pursuing an electrification strategy that will ensure its continued success and meet the demands of future mobility. By 2024, there will be an electrified version of each model and Opel/Vauxhall will be a fully electric brand by 2028. This strategy is part of the PACE! Business plan, with which Opel aims to become sustainably profitable, international and electric.
